Carl & Mel
Carl and Mel held their ceremony at St Mary’s the Virgin Church, Church Road, followed by a reception at the International Hotel, in Ashford, Kent.
The Ashford hotel is a large venue with lots of banquet and reception rooms in fact, I think there were three weddings being held there that day.
Walking through the lobby area which was lit with natural light coming through the skylights in the roof, I noticed some interesting shadows where I quickly sat Mel down for a portrait. This was one of those times where everything works so well the colours in the painting matched those of her shoes, I added a little bit of fill flash to remove any shadows from the face and the result is one of my favourite images of the day, no real editing this was what the image looked like pretty much straight out the camera.
